Finally, the Snare, Bass, and Tom drums bring the whole piece to life with their split rhythms, creating a cool hocketing effect! The piece features simple melodies and ostinatos that are passed around between the Marimba and Vibraphone parts, and stays primarily within the key of E Minor (specifically E, G, and B). This is the first work that Josh Martley has written for Percussion Ensemble, so any feedback is appreciated, and he hops that any ensemble that decides to play this piece will have a LOT of fun with it!
