This comes from a set of 12 pieces originally for piano solo. It was arranged for cello and piano in the 1800's. Suzuki uses one of those arrangements in Volume 4, but with some edits geared toward students.

My arrangement was born out of the long desire to have standard cello repertoire available for cello duet. As I teach, I often have the full score in front of me and play bass or middle lines to add context and harmony for the student. (It just sounds good, besides.)

The second cello part attempts to give some idea of the left hand of the original piano composition. I've tried to retain the essence of not only the moving lines but of the rich harmonies, and sometimes complex, employed therein.

My hope is to add value to the already rich musical world and that you will enjoy this arrangement as much as I do.
