Polonaise Brillante (Polonaise for Concert) Op. 21 is the second of two polonaises composed by the Polish violin virtuoso Henri Wieniawski, in two versions: one for violin and piano accompaniment and one for violin and orchestra. It is one of the last pieces he ever composed. From the first public performance until the end of his stage career, Wieniawski often included this Polonaise in his concert repertoire, performing one version or another, choosing according to need and conditions. Here is a version for violin and string orchestra arranged by Ryuichi Horikoshi.
