"Bist du bei mir, geh ich mit Freuden" (If you are with me, I go with joy) is an aria from Gottfried Heinrich Stölzel's opera "Diomedes". The aria is best known as "Bist du bei mir" BWV 508, a version for voice and continuo found in the Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach hence why this beautiful aria is often attributed to J.S. Bach.

The music has been scored for wind quintet (flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, bassoon) and maintains its baroque aria feel within the sonic textures of the wind quintet. This is a great addition to any baroque music program, or wedding music collection.
