This is a funky, quirky arrangement called "Ridin' 'Cross the Desert on Camels" which is fun to prepare and perform. This is a rock/funk chart that can be played without a guitar player but requires a solid electric bass player. The bass line is often harmonized in 10ths with the bass trombone and bari sax. The lead trumpet goes up to a B-flat (with 1 high C) and there are a few optional higher notes. The lead trombone only goes up to an F. The solo section is open for any instrument. The soli section (which takes solo licks from famous jazz greats) goes through each section and eventually is unision within the entire ensemble. This is a unique and funky take on this old school classic.
