Product Description

An original work for concert band that pays homage to the Puerto Rican Plena. The Plena is a highly rhythmic folk dance and song that originated in the city of Ponce in the early 1900's by roving street musicians. It has a lively syncopated rhythm and is sung in a "call and response" style. In this piece brass and percussion instruments are most prominent.
