Product Description
This string quartet has five movements: Canada, America, Mexico, Brazil and Mayan. Each movement has some connection to its country, except "Mayan".
"Canada" is based on an old Canadian folk song-"V'la l'Bon Vent". It is a lively tune which brings to my mind the French voyageurs paddling hard.. It has words which tell a story but are mainly useful to avoid singing "la, la, la".
This quartet is appropriate for advanced high school or college level musicians. (Resist the urge to slow it down too much; try another movement.) The movements are independent of each other, allowing you to build a piece of a certain length.
All together it takes about 13-15 minutes.
