Product Description

Aiken Drum is a popular Scottish folk song and nursery rhyme, which probably has its origins in a Jacobite song about the Battle of Sheriffmuir of 1715. There is another story about Aiken Drum being a legendary household spirit, known as a brownie (pronounced broonie). These hairy creatures come out only at night performing various chores and farming tasks.
The human owners of the house must leave a bowl of milk or cream or some other offering. Failing to do so will offend the brownie and will leave their home forever.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
