About the collection: Rocky Mountain Alphorns Generations album, released in June 2018, is a colloboration between William and Jim Hopson, a father/son duo who are both internationally acclaimed Alphorn players. The Ensemble Collection includes original compositions and arrangements written specifically for the album, covering a wide variety of musical styles. Hoch uf em Baerg, Willi Melodie, and Swiss Guides Call could be considered examples of more traditional Alphorn pieces, whereas both versions of Solitude feature the instrument in a more modern musical context.
