'Ballad of the Harpsichord' is an upbeat piece, completely contradictory to its title. Originally the piece was intended to be a ballad played on a harpsichord, but as the composing process carried on it was decided to increase the tempo and make it a much more upbeat, lively piece that ended up taking on a Latin and Baroque feel. Later, the instrumentation was also changed to piano so that dynamics could be incorporated. It's a very unique piece and one of my best.
