O' MIO BABBINO CARO is a beautiful soprano aria by Giacomo Puccini from his 1918 opera "Gianni Schicchi."

The aria is sung by the young Lauretta, who begs her father to help her marry, Rinuccio, the love of her life.

The piano transcription is clearly notated with dynamic marks, phrasing, suggested fingerings, pedal indications, chord identifications and appropriate musical terms for playing.

The score is purposely notated in 3/4 time instead of the original 6/8 time for easier reading of the eighth notes in the left hand.

The music incorporates my impressions, stylings and interpretations from the original score.

As a wonderful recital and encore piece, this piano transcription is excellent for professionals and students.

O' MIO BABBINO CARO was recorded as a piano selection in 2002 on Robert's CD entitled RHAPSODY / TIMELESS FAVORITES.

The audio sample from the album has accompanied orchestral instrumentation and is not included in the piano sheet music.
