Amanda E. Peck
Amanda Peck is a composer, arranger, and music educator based in the Kansas City area. She writes music for student ensembles that balances musicality with real-world classroom needs, helping young musicians grow with every rehearsal.

She holds a Bachelor of Music from Ohio University, a Master’s in Music Education from Austin Peay State University, and a Master’s in Theory and Composition from Stephen F. Austin State University. She combines her background as a bassist and her experience in the classroom to create music that is both musically engaging and practical for student ensembles.

Throughout her teaching career, Amanda has worked with a wide variety of music programs across the country. These diverse experiences have shaped her writing style, leading her to create music that is flexible, thoughtful, and rooted in real classroom needs. Her catalog includes original works that target specific musical skills, as well as reimagined pieces from a broad range of composers and time periods.

She currently teaches 7th–12th grade strings and stays closely connected to the needs of developing musicians. Her work reflects a balance of creativity and practicality, aiming to serve both students and teachers with music that is rewarding to play and teach.

Amanda lives in Kansas with her husband and three children and enjoys a life filled with music, family, and teaching. In her downtime, she loves going on family adventures, working on cross stitch projects and playing Final Fantasy video games.
